On the occasion of the event La Vendôme 80, organized in France by Stephane Ratel and SRO Motorsports Group, a former F1 driver (in meteor format) and above all ace of endurance racing and Formula E showed in a fun way his passion for cars of the 80s, which today (and a tear falls) they are considered to all intents and purposes ‘period’. André Lotterer he was the absolute protagonist of the event, thanks to his original disguises as a true fan of that decade. Everything was immortalized on his Instagram page, where he revealed his tastes in the way of cars.
“I had a lot of fun, with the cars and dressing up, it seemed natural and consequently worrying… but I love the eighties very much. I was born in 1981, I was a happy child and every time we talk about that era I feel at home. I loved the music of the period, with Michael Jackson, Madonna, Tina Turner: MTV only showed music videos, there were no smartphones. My dad had some cool cars, like one Pearl white Volkswagen Golf GTi with gold BBS rims. I was lucky enough to follow my father’s team and I spent my childhood in the workshop, in Spa and in Zolder in particular. This led me to start an automotive career“Wrote Lotterer.
Then he added: “In the eighties I saw the Volkswagen Golf and Scirocco touring, the Audi Quattro rally, the Volvo 240T, the Ford RS200, the Toyota Supra up close. It was an epic time for motoring! Great liveries and great powers, incredible leagues, categories like Group B and C“. In the photos, Lotterer showed himself alongside a Ferrari F40: another great exponent of that period. Her very tamarrissimo look completed it all.
