If Thanos and Ikaris have never met in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), they have already met. confronted a few times in the comics, giving rise to some epic battles.
Revealed; in the latest Eternals #12 comic, realized by Kieron Gillen and Esad Ribic and released last week, this comic series followed the rise of Thanos as he struggles to become the Prime Eternal< /strong>, with the Eternals doing all they can to stop it. The Mad Titan then managed to a new stage after using “the Resurrection Engine”, and will decide to activate a device that will destroy the Earth, at unless he loses his new status or is disabled.
Arriving in the city of Titanos to confront Thanos in hopes of saving Earth from total annihilation, the Eternals jumped straight into battle, but it seemed like a waste of time. s the first contact between Thanos and Ikaris, the latter being violently pushed back. with just a whim. And while Ikaris struggles to get up, Thanos reveals that the Eternals member is one of the few superheroes he really enjoys fighting.

Having fought and defeated many super-powered Marvel superheroes during his long life as an antagonist, Thanos admits here that he enjoys re-fighting. her muscular exchanges with Ikaris, which is a strange compliment from an enemy who often considers his opponents to be inferior to his opponents. him. Ikaris would thus be worthy of being able to fight Thanos, especially since he would like to continue this for eternity. The idea that Thanos wants this kind of hero-villain relationship to continue until the end of time is all the more disturbing, because we see the sadistic aspect of the character, taking pleasure in suffering (and here especially in that of others).
