Marvel has leaned to a somewhat different side during its phase 4. WandaVision introduced witches to the MCU and, more recently, Loki confirmed the existence of vampires, presumably as a prelude to the next Blade movie. An upcoming episode of What If …? will feature a group of zombies, while Moon Knight would cover Ancient Egyptian curses and mummies.
Now, The Wrap is reporting that Marvel Studios has a Halloween special in the pipeline for Disney Plus. The project, still in the early stages of development, is seeking a Latino man in his 30s for the lead role. While details are still pretty scant, as there has been no reported creative team involved at this time, it is said that the title would be based on Werewolf by night and is expected to begin shooting in early 2022.

With this, everything indicates that the firm chaired by Kevin Feige seems to be committed to the idea of single-installment specials, since the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is in pre-production. Given that James Gunn had made it clear that some plot points in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 are connected to the Christmas special, these projects represent an essential part in the advancement of the MCU.

The first Werewolf by night It was introduced in 1972 and was created by Gerry Conway and Mike Ploog from an idea by Roy Thomas.
