New initiatives of the Mater Olbia Hospital 2 years after the start of hospitalization activities at full capacity, i.e. from 1 July 2019. The hospital has in fact opened the solvent department, the area dedicated to private activity with paid services or in agreement with funds or insurance, and has also launched new solutions to encourage prevention such as check-up profiles and laboratory analysis packages. These innovations were illustrated this morning during a press conference.
The solvents department is located on the sixth and last floor of the Mater Olbia Hospital: occupies an area of 4,500 square meters and consists of 40 standard rooms, 5 suites and 2 apartments, as well as a lounge area, relaxation areas and a large terrace overlooking the sea. As for the solutions for prevention, they have been launched 6 check-up profiles designed on the basis of the needs and characteristics of each patient: starting from the ‘basic profile’ (cost 290 euros), which includes in-depth blood tests, a specialist visit and 3 instrumental tests, up to the ‘advanced profile’ (900 euros), in which in addition to blood tests are 4 specialist visits and eight instrumental examinations are foreseen. In addition to the clinical value, the practicality of the service for the patient is significant, given the possibility of a single booking for all the examinations, which will be concentrated in a maximum of half a day, in addition to the availability of a single room for the entire time spent in the hospital. . The packages for laboratory tests, on the other hand, allow you to perform a series of blood tests selected based on what the patient wants to monitor, such as thyroid, kidney, liver or cardiovascular function or bone metabolism.
The facility currently has 200 authorized and accredited beds, 5 state-of-the-art operating theaters and a wide range of highly technological diagnostic machinery.
