The Almuñécar Local Police rescued a minor who had falled down a ravine on Punta de la Mona along Calle Cala del Perro this morning.
The fall was some five meters causing the minor to suffer head, leg and arm injuries, according to the Chief of Local Police.
“The spot has very difficult access forcing the officers to form a human chain to reach the victim and bring him back up to safety,” explained the police chief, adding, “the victim received treatment on the spot from the First Aid until the Medical Center ambulance arrived from A&E. “
The police contacted the mother by telephone and she rapidly arrived at the scene of the accident shortly before the ambulance took him to A&E – the minor had lost consciousness during a few minutes so it was imperative to get him to proper medical attention right away.
