Jorge Lorenzo after a 2020 as a Yamaha test rider – without having great chances of getting on track due to the pandemic – starting this year he is enjoying “a second youth” with lots of “sun and sea”. The five-time world champion was joined by the microphones of Sky Sport MotoGP to whom he expressed his authoritative opinion on the hottest topics of the World Championship. Here are his words.

The break between Vinales and Yamaha
“Everyone knew their relationship wasn’t idyllic, but I didn’t expect such a sudden breakup. Vinales certainly suffered from Quartararo’s speed, it is not easy to find himself chasing and fighting against such a strong opponent. After five years without being able to get the world title, which Vinales believes he has within his reach, he has decided to try to follow a different path. Aprilia is growing as Aleix Espargarò’s results show, but it could return to Suzuki as well as move to Ducati, we’ll see ”.
Valentino Rossi’s future
“If I had to bet I would say that this is Rossi’s last year in MotoGP, but maybe he surprises us. The Ducati VR46 team is a good thing for the World Championship ”.
