Netflix, “Safety Distance”: release date, plot and cast

In October, the film Safe Distance, based on the novel of the same name by Amanda Schweblin and directed by Claudia Llosa, will be released on Netflix. The film follows the story of Amanda, whose life will be turned upside down by her new neighbor and her son. Let’s find out together the release date, the plot and the cast.

Safety distance is the new original movie Netflix taken from the namesake best seller by the Argentine writer Amanda Schweblin released in 2014. The film will debut on the streaming platform on 13 October.

The film is directed by the award-winning Peruvian director Claudia Llosa, who is also co-author of the screenplay together with the author of the novel from which it is based. At the production there are Mark Johnson, Tom Williams, Pablo Larraín, Juan De Dios Larraín.

A woman named Amanda lies in pain, far from home. A little boy named David asks her some questions, trying to get her memory back. She is not his mother, he is not his son. During her little time left, he helps her tell an intense and disturbing story of obsessive jealousy, invisible danger, and the power of a mother’s love for her child.

Amanda he decides to move in with his children and once he has moved to the new home, the woman meets the new one nearby Carola and her son David, who find themselves hiding dark secrets.
