A team of Russian scientists has synthesized chemical compounds that can stop the neuronal degeneration in Alzheimer’s, in Parkinson’s and in other serious brain diseases. These substances can provide a breakthrough in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.
The study has been published on European Journal of MedicinalChemistry .
Neuronal degeneration: what are these chemical compounds?
New molecules of the classes pyrrolyl And indolylazine trigger intracellular mechanisms to combat one of the main causes of brain disease and neuronal degeneration: an excess of so-called amyloid structures that accumulate in the human brain with age.
