Scoreboard Italy-England: the Gazzetta dello Sport forgets about Belotti, who missed one of the penalties. Does the publisher Cairo want to protect the Turin center forward?
Italy wins its second European Championship after 53 years from the last time. The Azzurri beat England on penalties in their Wembley stadium thanks to the save by Donnarumma and the goals by Berardi, Bonucci and Bernardeschi. For the national team, the two mistakes from the spot were by Jorginho, who remained on the pitch despite the injury suffered in the first half, and by Belotti, who took over from Insigne in the first extra half.
