In Ontario, 306 cases of Covid-19 were reported on Wednesday — the lowest in a single day since the beginning of August — and the deaths of 12 more.
While overall daily cases have been downward for weeks, test levels have fallen over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, a factor in today’s count.
The seven-day average of new daily cases has dropped to 500.
Additional deaths pushed the official number to 9,804.

Cases for the new school: 269 reported between last Friday afternoon and Tuesday afternoon. 93 percent of students. Five schools in the province are currently closed due to Kovid-19.
ICU patients have Covid related diseases:153, 102 requires ventilator to breathe.
Inspections have been completed in the last 24 hours: 23,219, positive rate of 1.7 percent.
Active cases:4,136, roughly one-third of the public school system.
Vaccines: 29,857 doses were administered by public health units on Tuesday. Approximately 82.4 percent of Ontarians aged 12 years and older now have two-dose vaccines.
