The presentation of the Checkmate light tactical single-engine fighter of the fifth generation is taking place at the MAKS-2021 International Aviation and Space Salon in Zhukovsky. Earlier, the fighter was shown to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to media reports, Checkmate speed can reach Mach 1.8-2. The mass of the fighter’s combat load will be 7.4 tons, and the flight range will be three thousand kilometers. The journalists also learned that the aircraft will be equipped with an active phased array radar, optical and electronic reconnaissance equipment, as well as an electronic warfare system.
