Raffaella Carrà He received an emotional tribute at his funeral, this Friday, July 9. The Italian singer died last Monday at the age of 78 due to lung cancer.
The funeral services carried out in the church of Santa Maria, in Rome. The ceremonywas experienced as a special event in the European country. Authorities, friends and relatives of the interpreter of “You have to come to the south” came to the venue to say goodbye.
Around 200 people were present inside the temple. On the outskirts, hundreds of admirers were waiting, following the last mass on the screens.
The mayor of the city took the floor to pay tribute to the celebrity. She defined her as “a great woman and an icon” and highlighted her charisma, empathy and professionalism.

“Who knows if we realize the importance of artists, how much good they generate in people (…) Meeting again in heaven will be a party and I am sure that we will find Raffaella in it, in the front row”, were the words of the priest.
Everyone in the church dismissed her with loud applause before entering the cremation room. His family members were filled with tears at the moving moment.
Raffaella Carrá He died on Monday, July 5, at the age of 78. His partner Sergio Japino confirmed his death: “He has gone to a better world, where his humanity, his unmistakable laugh and his extraordinary talent will remain forever.”
