Recep Tayyip Erdogan encouraged Turkish army officers before serving in the Russian-Turkish Center in Azerbaijan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan encouraged a group of Turkish army officers who will begin serving in Azerbaijan at the Russian-Turkish Center. It will open in the very near future as part of the control of the ceasefire regime in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, addressing the officers by phone, wished success to the servicemen. The head of the Turkish state noted that, as part of their service, they will be obliged to ensure that the ceasefire regime in Nagorno-Karabakh is fully observed. The President expressed the hope that the center under construction will soon open and servicemen from two armies – Turkey and Russia – will start serving in it. 35 officers and one general from the Turkish army will arrive in Azerbaijan. The military will begin to serve together with the Russian military. They will exercise full control over the ceasefire in the NKR. The Russian-Turkish Center opens in January 2021 and is located in the Aghdam region in Azerbaijan. Along with this, Turkey is categorically disposed towards the Russian ownership of Crimea. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu during a meeting in Sochistatedthat no concessions of the Russian Federation on the peninsula are expected.
