After Regina Blandón revealed that she was a victim of abuse by a domestic worker for his relatives, Roberto Blandón questioned his daughter’s statements and even assured that “it was not that serious”.
In May, Regina Blandón revealed in an interview with Isabel Lascurain that in her childhood she was a victim of sexual abuse by a man who worked at her grandparents’ house in Acapulco.
< p class=”paragraph”>The actress said that at first she didn’t want to talk to her parents about what happened, but when they found out, Roberto was about to kill the manwho abused her. However, in a short meeting with the press, the actor denied that things had happened as his daughter told them.

When the reporters questioned Roberto about Regina’s statements, he assured that he was not aware of what they were talking about, but at the insistence of the media, he said: “Oh no, but that it was 30,000 years ago and it never really amounted to abuse.”
He denied that at any point he would have almost “beaten to death” the the person who abused Regina, as he commented that “no, it didn’t go that far”.
The actor commented that he was unaware that the protagonist of La familia P. Luche had spoken publicly about it, so he would have a conversation with her to find out the details of what she said.

To close her meeting with the press, Roberto commented that he is in favor of women raising their voicesto denounce the attacks they suffer. However, when they questioned him again about how serious Regina’s experience was, he replied: “No, it wasn’t that serious.”.
According to the actress recounted, the man who worked at her grandparents’ house would get into the room she shared with her brother at night and abuse her.
“He had spent years and years (working there). He was married to the cook of the house and he went into my room at night. There was no rape as such, but there was sexual abuse. Sometimes my brother was asleep in the bed next to me and he is not even aware of it or was not aware of it until very recently, ”he said in the interview with Isabel Lascurain.

She added that when her parents found out what she was suffering, well, a cousin She told him, she told them, Roberto “was about to kill the bastard,” Regina uncovered, but “my mom told him: ‘No, because otherwise you’re going to go to jail. Wait, please’”.
From this event that marked the childhood of the actress, she had to go to therapy because several years, and together with her family she had to learn not to be shy about talking about it.
During the interview, Regina encouraged the women not to remain silent if they suffer from some type of sexual assault, well, if it continues to be a topic that is not talked about, there will continue to be victims.
“Please, talk about it, because if not, it will continue to happen and those wounds take a long time to heal and nobody deserves them”, he told his audience.
