Russian pianist Miroslav Kultyshev took first place at the II International Classic Piano Competition, the results of which were summed up on September 4 in Dubai. This was reported by the press service of the organizer of the event – the European Foundation for the Support of Culture.
The second place was also taken by the musician from Russia Viktor Maslov. In total, 70 people from more than 20 countries took part in the competition.
“This event lasted for a total of three years, taking into account the pre-selection in different countries. I was happy to see all the participants and I am very grateful to our highly professional jury, which consisted entirely of masters of classical music and piano art. We congratulate the winner and look forward to him as a soloist on our tour, ”the press service of the President of the European Foundation for the Support of Culture, Konstantin Ishkhanov, quotes.
The pianist Kultyshev, for his part, pointed out the complexity of the competition. He noted that he was glad to be on stage again, which is especially valuable during a pandemic.

The II International Classic Piano Competition has been held since August 15 in Dubai at the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Concert Hall on the Palm Jumeirah.
In the first two rounds, the musicians performed solo. Already in the third and fourth – accompanied by the State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia under the baton of conductor Sergei Smbatyan. In the semifinals, the participants performed concerts by V.A. Mozart and composer Alexei Shor, a resident of the Classic Piano competition and the InClassica festival. In the finale, the musicians could perform a number of works by the classics of the 19th and 20th centuries. The prize fund of the competition exceeded € 300,000.
The jury of the competition included composers, university teachers and classical art stars from Russia, France, Latvia, Italy, Germany, USA, Belgium and other countries.
Earlier that day, it became known about the “Musical Expedition” travel festival, which will take place on September 11-12 in Kamchatka. The performance of world-renowned musicians is expected, who will perform works of classical and ethnic music, as well as compositions in the author’s version of the performers. Concerts will be held in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and in the caldera of Gorely volcano
