The Mobile Squad of the Milan Police Headquarters yesterday arrested Don ET, a priest of the Diocese of Milan, on charges of sexual abuse of minors. The man is parish vicar in Busto Garolfo, he is challenged with accomplished facts in the period from February 2020 to May 2021.
The priest is now under house arrest and, according to the first information gathered by the Diocese, at the moment he has not received official communications from the judicial authority.
The Diocese of Milan “takes note of this news with amazement and pain and immediately undertakes to investigate the facts, applying the indications of the universal law of the Church and the CEI and following the indications that will be given by the Holy See. In ensuring the most complete willingness to collaborate with the judicial authority to ascertain the truth of the facts, the Diocese also wishes to specify that no report concerning the facts under investigation has never reached the Curia, the Vicar of the area and the parish priest. “.
