The American Mikaela Shiffrin, quadruple winner of the big crystal globe, won the Levi’s slalom, Saturday in Finland, the first women’s race of the Alpine Skiing World Cup season.
Shiffrin beat the Swedish Anna Swenn Larsson, already second time in the first round, 16/100th, and her great Slovak rival Petra Vlhova, Olympic champion in the specialty. to Beijing, by 20/100th.

She is getting closer to Ingemar Stenmark’s absolute record
Only third in the first round, Shiffrin managed the best time of the second track to claim a 75th World Cup victory. At 27, she is approaching the absolute record of Sweden’s Ingemar Stenmark (86) and the total of her compatriot Lindsey Vonn (82).
