No distractions, no sidequests, or anything. A race from start to finish, beating the previous record by just 3 seconds.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has an open world full of history, missions, and even some creative insanities, which invite the player to get lost for hours while discovering something new. However, that doesn’t stop speedrunners, and one of them ends up finishing the game, from start to finish, imposing a new world record.
This person finished the game in 25 minutes and 30 seconds. The streamer in question, Player 5, uploaded this great feat to his YouTube channel. The player managed to finish The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, from start to finish, in 25 minutes and 30 seconds, a total that exceeds the previous record by three seconds. This comparison may seem minimal to many people, but in the world of speedrunning, 3 seconds is a huge amount of time.
Player 5 simply runs from the beginning, to the end point of the game, wasting no time from the moment Link is under his control. The player takes advantage of some things to save more time, such as glitches that presents the title, and even a amiibo to help you trim a few extra milliseconds. Player 5 comments that all titles have tricks to perform a speedrun, even one considered “perfect” such as Breath of the Wild.

Player 5’s feat will remain marked among the speedrun community, at least until someone else arrives, and exceeds that time. Passing the game in the shortest time possible is not the only challenge that the Breath of the Wild community has set itself, as some do speedruns of the missionswhile others try to visit everyone dogs present in the title.
What’s next in the world of speedrun? Someone could dare to spend all Breath of the Wild with the blindfolded, a feat already accomplished by someone in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
