Sudanese irrigation said that the water level of the Nile River in Khartoum was 17.16 meters, lower than the previously recorded level, which was 17.66 meters.
The ministry expected stability in the Roseires sector (a dam near the border with Ethiopia) and the Sudanese capital, with an estimated distance of more than 500 km.
The Sudanese state of Sennar, which is adjacent to the border with Ethiopia, did not witness floods or the flow of valleys and torrents, as reported by “Sky News Arabia” correspondent, but a state of anxiety prevails among the population there, according to the reporter.
On June 19, Ethiopia announced the completion of the second filling of the dam’s lake, without reaching an agreement with Egypt and Sudan, which demand a binding agreement on filling and operating the dam.

Successive Sudanese data in recent days have reported that the level of the Nile River has risen above the flood level in some areas, which warns of the danger of river floods that usually occur in July and August.
Sudan has special concerns, such as that the Renaissance Dam will lead to a random or unexpected flow of water from the dam towards Sudanese territory, which increases the possibility of floods in some areas of Sudan.
These fears were reinforced because the capacity of the Sudanese Roseires reservoir, which is about 100 km from the Renaissance Dam, does not exceed 10 percent of the capacity of the Ethiopian dam.
