Several people suspected of assassinating Haitian President Jovenel Moise were previously informants for US law enforcement. It is reported by TASS citing CNN.
According to his source, the investigators came to such conclusions, establishing the circumstances of the incident. The case also cites a statement from the US Drug Enforcement Administration that confirmed that one of the suspects was periodically a confidential source of information for his employees.
The statement also says that after the assassination of the country’s leader, this informant contacted the staff of the department. They, in turn, called on him to surrender to the local authorities and notified the officials in Haiti about these contacts. The said informant and another suspect eventually surrendered to the Haitian authorities. They are also aware that the name of this service was shouted by some of the participants in the attack on Moiz.
According to the channel’s sources, some of the suspects were previously informers for the US Federal Bureau of Investigation. FBI officials declined to comment, but said the investigations were using “legitimate sources to gather intelligence.”

Some of the participants in the attack on the president were “Colombian mercenaries hired through a Florida-based security company.” The operation was allegedly coordinated by Christian Emmanuel Sanon, who is currently detained in Haiti.
Sanon was detained the day before, on July 12th. According to the head of the Haitian National Police, Leon Charles, the detainee was in contact with Venezuelan security companies based in the United States.
The residence of the President of Haiti, Jovenel Moise, was attacked on the night of July 7, and was tortured before his death. The criminals mortally wounded the head of state from firearms, he received 12 wounds. Three foreigners were among the liquidated assassins of the president.
