The head of the Examining Court number 2 of Murcia agreed to open a separate piece of the ‘Topillo case’ for the
investigation of discharges committed by 43 companies, the majority related to agriculture. This extension of the procedure occurs after the receipt of a report from the Seprona of the Civil Guard, which analyzes the documentation provided by the company Hidrotec, “concluding that there are indications that a plurality of companies and individual entrepreneurs
could have used desalination machines illegally, pouring brine without authorization, which could cause damage to the environment.
