The Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS) reported that at 9:57 am on Wednesday the rescuers working at the Múzquiz mine, Coahuila, recovered the body of a fifth worker.
After five days of efforts and rescue work, the personnel working in the area managed to extract the body of Juan Carlos Moreno Cervantes, who was originally from the mineral of Barroteràn. “We are very sorry for the death of Carlos Moreno, who has been rescued from the Múzquiz mine. We send our solidarity and affection to his family, friends and co-workers. It is terrible what they have done to us. We still need two miners”, said the organization.

With the recovery of these five bodies –three on Sunday, one on Saturday and one on Wednesday— two more trapped miners remain to be found, after the collapse that occurred last Friday.
