The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Dulce María Sauri, returned this Wednesday to the Investigating Section the opinion on the violation of the PT legislator Mauricio Toledo, by failing to comply with the majority vote of its members to pass to the plenary chamber.
“It is the responsibility of the Investigating Section, as a collegiate body, to seek the consensus it deems necessary to comply with the legal and regulatory requirements thatallow to continue with the processing of the matter”, He remarked.

Sauri reported that, after a thorough technical and legal review of the file, it was noted that lto voting carried out by the members of the Examining Section did not reach the majority of its members that frames article 45, numeral 7, second paragraph of the Organic Law of the General Congress, which is why, in the face of a clear legal impediment, the matter cannot be processed before the plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies.
At the meeting of the court last Monday, deputies Pablo Gómez and Martha Patricia Ramírez, from Morena, voted in favor of the violation of Toledo, while the PRI Mary Carmen Bernal did it against and the PRI Claudia Pastor in abstention.
Although the president of the Investigative Section, Pablo Gómez, delivered a report with three votes in favor, including that of Claudia Pastor, and one against, the Board of Directors confirmed with the video and the stenographic version of the meeting that the PRI member expressly stated his abstention and He requested that this be recorded in the minutes.
“Consequently, it is possible to determine that there is no approving vote regarding the meaning of the resolution of the Investigative Section, since the vote of the deputy Claudia Pastor was cast in abstention and, therefore, the opinion regarding the judgment of origin of the deputy Mauricio Toledo (…) cannot go to the plenary session ”, he specified in an analysis sent to Ignacio Mier, president of the Political Coordination Board and parliamentary leader of Morena.
