The famous telenovela actor Héctor Bonilla was one of the most important soap opera stars of the 1960s , appearing in films such as Rojo Amanecer and el Bulto , in which important events in Mexican history are described, such as the massacre of students of 1968 and the one known as “el falconazo”.

However, his role as a leading man in important projects for Televisa were the roles where he stood out the most and that is why he caught the attention of the audience when he participated in one of the most important comedies on Mexican television “El chavo del 8”.

And it is that Héctor Bonilla was responsible for melting the hearts of the female characters in the neighborhood of the guy. He managed to overcome the extravagant relationship that Don Ramón and Doña Cleotilde (the witch of 71) have and even took away the hypnotic feeling that Professor Jirafales has in Doña Florinda; furthermore, even Chilindrina herself ended up sighing for who was seen as one of the most prominent gallants of the moment.

The episode begins with the boy of 8 and the Chilindrina playing a plane, when Don Ramón suddenly appears and orders his daughter to go ask Doña Cleotilde for sugar because he wants to avoid the discomfort of his romantic advances. Reluctantly, the Chilindrina obeys.

However, Doña Cleotilde herself does not have sugar because she had just used it all for a cake that she would precisely give to Don Ramón, so they decide to ask Doña Florinda. After several knocks on the door and not receiving an answer, they decide to enter the apartment and discover that she was busy watching a soap opera in which Héctor Bonilla appears.

The three of them are watching the soap opera, sighing every time the actor appears and detesting the supposed villain of the soap opera. While Don Ramón continues in the courtyard, waiting for the sugar that of course he will not receive. Then the actor Héctor Bonilla enters looking for help because he had just had a flat tire on his vehicle. The neighborhood gathers with intentions of helping him but ends up overshadowing Don Ramón and Professor Jirafales due to their attractiveness.

The chapter in which the actor appeared was a myth as it belongs to some of the segments that were lost in the large number of shows that were made for the show. In fact, the copy was not present or in its production house, so it was classified as lost and it was assumed that there would be no way to recover it.

However, in what could be called a reward for determination, the episode was found in one of Telemundo’s VHS tape warehouses , at its headquarters in Puerto Rico . The tape disappeared from the minds of the followers again until it reappeared on the YouTube video platform in 2011, when one of the fans of the series named Reníet Ramírez uploaded the content to the digital platform.

It should be mentioned that the episodes were recorded in parts and that the Bonilla episode marked the first part of that episode as lost, which was later the one that was recovered in Puerto Rico . As a result, Héctor Bonilla gained fame in various countries of South America as the popularity of the series in the south of the continent continued to grow until it generated a fan club.
