The musical “I can’t get up today”, based on the songs of the famous Spanish rock group Mecano, will be presented at the Eduardo Brito National Theater, starting on September 7.
“I cant get up today”, since its premiere in 2005 in Spain has received awards and has also been presented in Mexico since 2013 and until last year 2021, with the Dominican Republic being the third country in which it premiered.
The local cast is made up of Laura Lebrín, José; Guillermo Cortines, Javier Grullón, Karla Fatule, Pamela Sued, Héctor Anibal, Juan Luis Espinal, JJ Sánchez and Carolina Rivas, among other professionals who will accompany in front and behind the scenes, under the Directed by María Castillo, Junior Basurto Lombas, Frank Ceara and Natalie Borsos.
The announcement of the new musical was made by producer José Llano at the end of the most recent performance of the play “La Llamada”, from last weekend.

“La Llamada” will have his last performance this Saturday, April 9, with the stellar participation of Maridalia Hernández, playing the role of “God” at the Theamus Theater, 5th floor of Blue Mall Santo Domingo.
“The call” It features the performances of Tony Almont in the role of “God”, it had 7 successful performances to a full house that also had the special participation of Daniel Sarcos and Giorgio Siladi, both playing the same character.
