UEFA based its decision on vaccination programs against the Corona virus across Europe, in order to relax regulations.
The opening matches of the Champions League, which begins on September 14, include a confrontation between Bayern Munich and Barcelona in Spain, and another between Manchester United and Young Boys in Switzerland.
The Covid-19 pandemic has led to the exclusion of fans from almost all matches organized by UEFA last season, and in the qualifying rounds of the three club competitions this season, including the European League.
UEFA lifted this ban, allowing fans to travel if permitted by health and government rules applicable in the home team’s city.

“It is to be decided that 5% of the total permitted stadium capacity will be reserved for the visiting team’s fans, bearing in mind that any decision in this regard falls under the responsibility of the relevant competent authorities,” UEFA said.
