Having a large car in your hands is certainly something very prestigious, but it risks becoming a double-edged sword if you don’t pay special attention when you go down the street. And what happened in Los Angeles confirms this: in the 6500 block of Selma Avenue, around 2.30 this morning, tragedy came close to when a Lamborghini Urus it crashed injuring several people. Fortunately, the toll seems to be already final, given that none of the three injured people seem to be in danger of life.
The way the driver lost control of its own Super SUV of the car manufacturer del Toro has not yet been clarified, but the scenario that the LAPD faced once they reached the accident site was certainly not reassuring: the orange Urus was placed in an unstable way astride the steel fence that surrounds the courtyard of a post office, as evidenced by the images released by the same LAPD on their official social channels. The consequences of this accident, in addition of course to the injury of three people already highlighted above, also concerned the collapse of some power lines and a tree. The driver of the Lamborghini Urus in question was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
“High speed, drunk driver, and 2 am: a fatal combination that could have led to a far greater tragedy – commented the LAPD in an Instagram post – Fortunately, the toll only lists a few mildly injured people. But all of this is absolutely unacceptable“. Having said the consequences for some people, the accident also caused various damages to the car, many of which were irreparable: the airbags were deployed, the windshield broke and both sides were heavily damaged.
