The Kinect sensor ? Not know…
At the end of 2013, the launch of its Xbox One, Microsoft was betting very (too) big on the Kinect sensor, which accompanied each console. Quickly, the same Kinect sensor is become a weight for the console (and the players), so much so that Microsoft quickly decided to put aside this little camera. The Xbox One’s and Xbox One X are, moreover, devoid of the slightest connection Kinect…
With its Xbox Series X, Microsoft confirms his disenchantment with Kinect, and explains : ” the Xbox One not requiring Kinect to function will be playable on the Xbox Series X, upon launch of the console. “In other words, the game library Xbox One will be playable on Xbox Series X, but it will not be possible to use Kinect on the new console from Microsoft, including it with an adapter (as is the case on Xbox One’s and Xbox One X).
At the same time, Microsoft reiterates its commitment to provide the games Xbox Game Studios for both Xbox Series X, but also on Xbox One, for two years (or until the end of the year 2022). In this way, Microsoft does not want to ” force “ the players to immediately join the new generation, who will be able to take advantage of future house games (including Halo Infinite) on their ” old “ Xbox One X.
Microsoft, however, specifies : ” Thanks to the unprecedented power of the Xbox Series X, most of your favorite games will load faster, will be more beautiful and will enjoy better performance. “To be sure to play the best version of upcoming games and Xbox Game Studios, it will therefore be necessary, and it is logical to have a Xbox Series X.
