Arestovich noted that he was tired of people whose thoughts and actions were dictated by fear or stupidity. He stressed that those who were dissatisfied with his idea had “a pale spirochete, instead of brains, overgrown with cherries.” At the same time, the adviser to the head of the presidential office added that critics have neither understanding nor scope. “Fucking villains,” he summed up.
The politician also said that Ukraine has changed its name more than once over the past century. He wondered why explaining to all the world and to its citizens the difference between all its names and the need to rename it is okay, but it would be difficult to explain the difference between “Russians” and “Russians”.
Earlier, Arestovich proposed to rename Ukraine to Rus-Ukraine. He assured that the republic is the direct heir of Kievan Rus, and Russia can only “at a stretch” claim this. Later, the adviser said that it was a joke and his personal opinion.
