After Senegalese player Sadio Man’s withdrawal, it’s Argentina’s turn to announce some bad news. Argentinian strikers Nicolas Gonzalez (Fiorentina) and Joaquin Correa (Inter Milan), injured, will not participate in the the World Cup, announced the Argentine Football Federation (AFA) on Thursday.
“During training today, Nicolas Gonzalez suffered a muscle injury and was knocked out. removed of the list for the World Cup. As a replacement, Argentina’s staff have called up Atlético Madrid striker Angel Correa” wrote AFA on the team’s Twitter account.
