In a statement released last Monday (13), UNICEF reveals that during the covid-19 pandemic, there was a worsening in the diet of young people.
“In recent years, more and more children and adolescents are overweight in Latin America and the Caribbean. Currently, it is estimated that at least three out of every 10 children between 5 and 19 years of age are overweight in the region”, informs the UN agency from its headquarters in Panama City and quoted by French state broadcaster Rádio França Internacional ( RFI).
