Discovered in “the T-rex Capital of the World”
Paleontologists have found the Maximus skull in South Dakota, “one of the most concentrated areas for T-rex remains” À so much so that the sector was designated as “the T-rex capital of the world”. It’s between 2020 and 2021 that Maximus was born. The large carnivorous dinosaur is said to have lived 76 million years ago.
Examining the skull, two large holes appear; sign that the animal would have fought according to Cassandra Hatton, head of science at Sotheby’s quoted. by The Guardian. But it is difficult to say whether this injury caused the death of the dinosaur.
