DINOSAUR “Maximus” skull weighs 91 kg and is almost two meters tall

A T-rex skull, named “Maximus” New York ; reports CNN. This is an exceptional piece since this dinosaur skull is one of the most complete ever discovered; indicated the Sotheby’s house. It could thus be sold to approximately $20 million.

The skull weighs 91 kg and is almost two meters high. Its preservation is exceptional. It would rival what is found in the greatest museums. “Even the smallest and most delicate bones are intact,” to the American chain Henry Galiano, paleontology consultant for Sotheby’s.

Discovered in “the T-rex Capital of the World”
Paleontologists have found the Maximus skull in South Dakota, “one of the most concentrated areas for T-rex remains” À so much so that the sector was designated as “the T-rex capital of the world”. It’s between 2020 and 2021 that Maximus was born. The large carnivorous dinosaur is said to have lived 76 million years ago.
