Duesmann: “Chip crisis will continue until 2022”
Last year Audi recalled 106,000 units of its older models to repair defective Takata airbags. The airbags in the recalled cars contained front airbag inflators of the non-azide driver (NADI) not up to standard. BMW, Honda, Acura, Toyota, Mitsubishi and Isuzu are some of the other automakers that have already issued recalls for vehicles with this type of airbag. According to the recalls cited for vehicles with this type of devices, the House of the Four Rings also recalled more vehicles with similar airbags. If the previous recall concerned the cars produced from 1998 to 2001, this time it concerns models made between 2000 and 2002.
