The president Jair Bolsonaro participates in a “motorcycle” with his supporters this Saturday morning (10.Jul.2021) in Porto Alegre (RS). The event is scheduled to start shortly after 10 am, in front of Fiergs (Federation of Industries of the State of Rio Grande do Sul), in the northern part of the state capital.
Bolsonaro and his supporters, who meet since 7:00 am, tour around the city and should also close the event at Fiergs, on Avenida Assis Brasil. THE “motorcycle” should last around two hours. Organizers expect the president to deliver a closing speech.
According to organizers, groups from other cities traveled to the capital for the tour. Bolsonaro comes from Bento Gonçalves, in the interior of the state, where he attended a dinner with wine producers. It was also present at the 1st Brazilian Graphene Fair, in Caxias do Sul (RS).
MOTORCYCLES
This is the 5th event of its kind that Bolsonaro has promoted in recent months. The 1st was in Brasília, on May 9, when the president left the Alvorada Palace on his motorcycle at around 9 am and toured the streets of the federal capital accompanied by hundreds of supporters.

The 2nd was in Rio de Janeiro, on May 23rd. The president found supporters in Barra da Tijuca. The 3rd was in São Paulo, on June 12, when the tour gathered 6,661 motorcycles, according to the system that records the passage of vehicles at toll booths, monitored by Artesp (Transport Agency of the State of São Paulo). The 4th “motorcycle” took place in Chapecó (SC), on June 26th.
COVID IN PORTO ALEGRE
According to the latest epidemiological bulletin issued by the Health Department of Porto Alegre, this Friday (9.Jul.2021), the city has 281 patients hospitalized with covid-19, 16 in ICU and 9 awaiting bed.
