In our part of Italy there is heat, for obvious reasons, in relation to Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Maserati and Abarth, as well as for Fiat. Everyone wants these brands to survive the first ten years of the Stellantis group’s life, and even better everyone would like to see them flourish in the presence of an automotive company with a very long list of different identities.

Often, however, we almost forget that the group also includes a brand that, until the end of 2020, was nominally traveling hand in hand with Fiat. This is Chrysler, whose sales are plummeting. In 2015 it sold 325,000 cars a year, in 2020 only 110,000. And without Covid it wouldn’t have been too much better. Consequently, even for survival instinct, an electric concept from Chrysler arrived at the EV Day organized by Stellantis and looks very interesting.

It is a crossover, and second Carscoops it somewhat resembles the Ford Mustang Mach-E. It has a sporty look, with a sloping roof and a front with a small grille just below a pair of small headlights. From the outside it has an elegant line in comparison to other cars of the same category but it does not shine excessively for originality. The interiors are rather futuristic, and the first element that catches the eye it is undoubtedly the touch of very generous dimensions, apparently larger than those of the steering wheel. In total, there are seven displays inside the car, five front and two rear, and we hope for Chrysler that the microchip crisis will soon end if it wants to translate the concept into a production car.

In full Citroen style there is also a panoramic glass and an ambient lighting system with a refined style. From a technical point of view there is very little information: designer Ralph Gilles suggested using the STLA Large platform, which can accommodate an electric vehicle with a generous range (805 kilometers) and battery packs up to 118 kWh.
