She says: “So I actually wanted to be called differently. I hardly dare to say what I actually wanted to be called, but that is because a lot has happened with that name. But I actually wanted to be called Monique!” Then she bursts out laughing, along with her co-hosts Justine Marcella and Clarice Stenger.

“Then you would have had a completely different life,” says Clarice. “Then you would have just been abandoned now and not last year.” Then the ladies continue to laugh at Bridget’s unexpected revelation.
Bridget always thought her own name was a ‘difficult, English name’. Monique would have been much easier. “But now I am of course very happy (…) that I just have a very nice English name. Yes, I am happy with it. I think it is a beautiful name.”
The name Monique is quite striking because both Bridget and Monique Westenberg are an ex of folk singer André Hazes. He is now completely thrilled with a new lady: Sarah van Soelen. He talks about it candidly in the video below.
