The municipal president of Apodaca, Nuevo León, César Garza Villareal, protested as president of the National Conference of Municipalities of Mexico (CONAMM), during the delivery of the 2021 National Awards for Good Municipal Government; the governor takes office after the term of Laura Fernández Piña, mayor of Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, ended.
At the end of the event, the member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), César Garza Villareal, said it will work jointly with the federal government, led by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and with the Chamber of Deputies so that federal resources are distributed more equitably.

The Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Torruco Marques, was in charge of taking the protest of the new board of directors of the National Conference of Municipalities of Mexico, which was held at the 2021 National Awards for Good Municipal Government, held at the Hilton hotel in the Historic Center.
