The Pasha of Riccione closed: 800 people danced without a mask
The Pascià di Riccione, one of the symbolic nightclubs of the Romagna Riviera, will have to close for 5 days for violating the anti-Covid regulations. The closure was imposed during one of the checks carried out by the local police to verify full compliance with the measures decided by the government to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, which have already led to the closure of several premises in the area in the last week.
At 2.15am last night, officers found about 800 people inside the venue, all of whom had no face masks. The manager, who would not have been able to exhibit the license for public entertainment and for the administration of food and drinks, apologized, stating that he was unable to avoid the crowd.
As reported by The Rest of the Carlino, at the time of the check many of those present were dancing to the music selected by the DJ present in the room and incited by a vocalist, while several people were smoking. Outside the restaurant, however, controls were set up to request the “green pass” from customers, with an area dedicated to the administration of quick swabs.
Nightclubs have not yet received the government’s green light to reopen and, under current rules, they can remain open as restaurants or live music venues with a ban on dancing inside.
