A complaint was announced by the mayor of San Pedro de la Paz, Javier Guiñez, later that a Comptroller’s report revealed losses of $300 million in the Municipal Culture Corporation.
A loss of around 300 million pesos was detected by the Comptroller in the Cultural Corporation of San Pedro de la Paz, this through management qualified as crimes by the supervisory body. In response to the call from councilors, Mayor Javier Guiñez announced that in the next few days he will present a criminal complaint.
A detailed final report was delivered by the Comptroller on the management of money within the Cultural Corporation of San Pedro de la Paz, during the previous municipal administration.

There are close to 300 million pesos in resources over which the audit carried out could not determine the use or whereabouts of those monies, among them -for example- the transfer between current accounts and the extra payment to personnel outside of their monthly salaries.
These are funds over and above those that had been denounced at first, which is why Councilman Marcelo Bersano described the Comptroller’s conclusions as serious and lapidary.
Councilman Edgard Navarrete stressed that he is dealing with illegal acts and not simple irregularities, for which he shares the Comptroller’s decision to send the information to the Public Ministry.
The report was incorporated into the ongoing investigation in the Prosecutor’s Office of Concepción, within the framework of a complaint by the current mayor of San Pedro de San Pedro and a complaint filed by the former communal chief Audito Retamal, under whose administration the money was lost, recalled councilor Rodrigo Sutter .
Regarding the calls to become part of that investigation, Mayor Javier Guíñez confirmed the presentation of the legal action in the coming days, asking to investigate specific crimes and determine those responsible.
According to background compiled by La Radio, the investigation by the Public Ministry is underway, and there are pending proceedings, which will be added to the statements of a dozen people, former and current officials of the entity.
