The suspended parliamentarians of the People’s Party hope that the PDI will clarify possible fraudulent modifications of the bench’s regulations, which allowed the expulsion of deputy Francisco Pulgar. From the caucus Ecologists and independents gave their support to the PDG dissident deputies and could eventually be received in that caucus if they are all expelled.
Next week the definitions of the Party will finally be known de la Gente (PDG) for the fate of the wayward deputies from his caucus, in a controversy that reached the PDI.
These are Karen Medina and Rubén Oyarzo,< /strong> in addition to the independent Francisco Pulgar,who voted for Vlado Mirosevic for Speaker of the House. They are joined by Gaspar Rivas, who left the Chamber just at the time of the vote.
All were sanctioned by the caucus leader, Yovana Ahumada, who decided to remove them from the commissions in which they participated, although in the case of Pulgar, he was expelled from the caucus.
The controversy even reached the courts, after they filed a complaint with the Economic Crimes Brigade of the PDI,whose officials were precisely in Congress collecting information.
The latter amid accusations of modifications to the regulations and even to the minutes of meetings, which would have facilitated the expulsion of the independent parliamentarian.
In this regard, deputy Gaspar Rivas explained the reasons for filing a formal complaint with the civil police.
Environmental caucus supported wayward deputies of the PDG
In the midst of the controversy, in the PDG efforts are being made to keep the caucus united, despite the fact that everything indicates that the wayward deputies will eventually leave the group.
In fact, the leader of the bench, Yovana Ahumada, as well as the deputy Víctor Pino, have avoided delivering a public statement after Pulgar’s expulsion and the complaint in the PDI, to avoid further polarizing the situation.

Longton summoned Uriarte for criticizing censorship
Meanwhile, in the opposition they defended their tactic to try to take control of the presidencies of the different commissions through motions of censure, despite criticism from the government.
In that sense, the deputy and head of the National Renewal caucus, Andrés Longton, summoned the minister of the Segpres, Ana Lya Uriarte after accusing her of “revenge” on the right.
