The Fenats Bío Bío denounced a millionaire payment for works in the Curanilahue Hospital that -according to what they said- they were never carried out, something that was ruled out by the management of the healthcare facility.
Two complaints filed by Fenats, one administrative and the other criminal, are currently under investigation by the Comptroller’s Office and the Public Ministry, in relation to the alleged misuse of money by the Directorate of the Curanilahue Hospital, Bío Bío region, for the repair of the Kinesiology Unit of that care center.
These are two presentations by Fenats, denouncing a direct deal with the San Nicolás construction company to change the roof in the Kinesiology Unit of the Curanilahue Hospital, for an amount of 70 million pesos.

What is being denounced is that the management of the assistance center canceled the money without the work being carried out, which is why water leaks continue when it rains, preventing normal work of professionals and dignified care for patients.
The union of health officials, through its president in Curanilahue, Ruby Troncoso, briefly confirmed the complaints.
The one who elaborated a little more was Evelyn Betancourt, president of Fenats Bío Bío, confirming the alleged irregularities reported and calling for the end of the investigations.
The Medical Association is not surprised by this situation, remembering the president of the union , Germán Acuña, other irregular situations that occurred as a result of bad administration, without ruling out taking part in these new inquiries.
The Curanilahue Hospital Management reported that the questioned works were completed by the company, a situation already known to Fenats, and that there are only pending administrative procedures before the Comptroller’s Office and the Prosecutor’s Office decide to close the investigations.
