Yesterday afternoon Giuseppe De Donno, former head of pulmonology at the Carlo Poma hospital in Mantua, took his own life. The doctor had become famous for being the first to use hyperimmune plasma transfusions for the treatment of Covid-19, especially in the most severe cases.
