Ruslan Kosarim, deputy technical director for business development of the Angara group of information security companies, has revealed a way to remotely use a computer via a smartphone, Prime agency reports.
The expert noted that a variety of mobile applications allow controlling a computer from a distance. These programs work with a variety of operating systems, including Windows, Mac OS, Android, and iOS.
Kosarim stated that the most popular applications for remote computer control are TeamViewer, Chrome Remote Desktop, Microsoft Remote Desktop App, and VNC Viewer. They make it possible not only to use the desktop, but also the resources of the computer, local disks or other devices connected to it.
However, the specialist emphasized that in such applications there are difficulties in using the interface, and there is also a risk of cyber threats. According to Kosarim, specialized information security solutions, for example, EMM (Enterprise Mobile Management), help to secure data in this case. They improve the security of corporate information processed on mobile devices, which are involved in the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) strategy of using personal devices for work purposes.
