Jorge Jiménez , originally from Chiapas, is the second eliminated from the Master Chef Mexico 2020 competition , the elimination challenge consisted of making a bread, where most of the participants presented cakes.
Jorge named his dish “attempted bread”, and although he believed that he had not achieved the correct cooking of the bread, it was not raw. The mistake of putting his cake on a sauce was the main cause of the chefs deciding his exit.
His doubts about his work made chef José Ramón annoyed at the low self-confidence and the poor presentation of the dish.
In the words of chef Betty, no participant achieved the ultimate goal of the challenge. “They don’t find what a cake should have.”

The criticisms and observations of chefs Betty Vázquez, José Ramón Castillo and Adrián Herrera agreed that the participants in the elimination challenge did not present any decent work. “No bread came to the presentation well, in general nobody made the bread well. The taste and the presentation are the elements that the chefs did not comply with to convince ” .
The chefs changed their aprons to wear the black one that represents the mission to preserve their place in the contest after the elimination challenge. The time to prepare the bread was 60 minutes.
Once the clock had started, the cooks ran to the “market” to acquire all the essential ingredients to start cooking. From the beginning of the challenge, Jorge was distressed and worried.
When it came time to present the dishes, Erubiel was the first to do so with his “My oven does not serve” name that he chose due to problems with the use of his oven, which caused his bread to not be cooked and with little flavor.

Atilana followed with her dish “Impossible Love” , a cake of enormous dimensions for the view of the judges, for which they qualified it with a wrong presentation.
The third participant was Adriana, and according to the judges’ expression, it was the first “rich bread” they tasted during that challenge. This gave Adriana confidence to think that she would not be expelled that night.
When Isabel presented her dish “Torta blanca” the judges defined her bread as something very dry for the palate, consequently, difficult to swallow.
The moment of deliberation arrived, for tonight the chefs were accompanied by Israel Díaz Pelayo, a mixologist who prepared a drink with pineapple and ginger juice to ease the Chefs’ digestion after eating the cakes.

“I want to thank you for the time together”, were the words with which Jorge said goodbye to the Master Chef kitchen. He removed his apron still with flour marks on it, placed it on the first table in the kitchen, and headed for the exit. He turned to look at the chefs and their companions for the last time, with a barely perceptible bow and a few tears in his eyes. Jorge left the competition.
The first contestant eliminated was Angélica Pérez Soto, originally from Mexicali, who lost during the challenge that consisted of including corn in her dishes.
So far there are only 18 participants who will continue cooking for chefs Betty, Herrera and José Ramón.
The first chapter came out on October 30 where contestants Lizzi, Angela, Rolando and Eruviel caught the attention of the judges for their performance in the first challenge.
Despite the challenges that this edition of Master Chef presented due to the Covid-19 pandemic , the producer Hernán Albarenque defined this 2020 edition as resilient due to the ability to overcome adversity.
