The fire spread rapidly, consuming the elderly’s home in a few minutes. A total of 60 volunteers from 5 fire companies were needed to control the fire.
A total of five older adults lost their homes, after a fire recorded this Tuesday afternoon in Antofagasta.
The fire occurred on Avenida Rendic, at 5500, consuming the house in a few minutes in its totality.
After the seriousness and shock of the event, two older adults became unbalanced as a result of the tension and pain of how the fire consumed their belongings.

Faced with this situation, the two people were treated by SAMU and referred to a care center.
According to information from the Fire Brigade, there were a total of five older adults who suffered total losses and were left homeless as a result of the fire.
Five companies of the Antofagasta Fire Department worked at the site, with a 60 volunteers, who managed to control the emergency.
Finally, the Fire Investigation Department analyzes the causes that led to this unfortunate incident.
