The presidential delegate of Bío Bío confirmed that as a government they have not yet presented legal actions after the two attacks that took place on the Concepción waterfront in one week. DC Deputy Eric Aedo stated that this is a bad sign from the delegation.
The government has not yet presented legal actions for the arson attacks that took place in a week along the Concepción waterfront, in the Bío Bío region.
As explained by the presidential delegate, Daniela Dresdner, the legal teams are still analyzing both cases and possible legal actions.
“It is something that is being worked on with the legal teams, precisely to analyze the situation (…) it has to do with the considerations that the legal teams make precisely,” emphasized the presidential delegate.

The representative for Concepción, Eric Aedo, said that these types of signs show < strong>weakness of the Bío Bío presidential delegation, since the population requires security and certainty.
“They are a bad message for those who commit these violent acts, people need security , needs certainty” ;, emphasized Aedo.
While The mayor of Concepción, Álvaro Ortiz, played down the importance of filing legal actions for the attacks and hopes that police action will be more effective.
The mayor added that “more than complaints, what I have asked in all tones, more than as mayor of Concepción, as president of the Association of Municipalities of the Bío Bío region, is to have our police, as we have them, on the ground, that the coordination functions, a Government concerned about what is happening”.
On the other hand, PS senator Gastón Saavedra insisted that it is necessary to evaluate a possible State of Exception for the Penquista commune and requested an exclusive prosecutor to investigate the latest attacks.
According to As reported by the presidential delegation, this weekend the Undersecretary of the Interior Manuel Monsalve will arrive in the area to analyze this situation in a police committee.
