Vaccination by the institutional doctor
Some of the young people from this target group live in an institution. They are vaccinated by their institutional doctor from week 18. In smaller institutions, vaccination by mobile vaccination teams starts in week 17. Young people living at home with morbid obesity or Down’s syndrome are invited by their GP and vaccinated at a GGD vaccination site.
Vaccination in hospital
Young people whose immune system is compromised and young people with a neurological disorder that affects breathing are vaccinated in the hospital. It is expected that this group will be vaccinated in three weeks, they will receive the invitation through their specialist. People are asked not to contact the hospital themselves, but to wait for the invitation. The young people from this group who are not mobile are vaccinated at home by a mobile vaccination team.
