From Catalonia, a renowned Spanish region, comes an incredible news. According to various testimonies, including through video and photographic evidence such as the one on the cover provided by the local police, an Audi RS4 Avant traveled several kilometers on a stretch of motorway with children sitting in the semi-open trunk.
At the wheel was a 43-year-old French tourist who was heading towards the Costa Brava, heedless of the possible serious dangers he was creating for himself, his loved ones and other motorists. The police pulled him over and (for now) imposed a rather mild fine of 840 euros for failing to comply with six articles of the traffic code. Specifically, these are two distinct violations for carrying two children under the age of three in the rear seats without the safety devices required by law; one for dangerous driving; one for the transport of more people than the seats available; two more for hosting two minors in the trunk. Which are assumed to be large enough not to allow the tailgate to close.
The situation, regardless of the rules you are not respecting, it goes well beyond the rules of the road: it is a driving behavior with immediate license withdrawal. However, there is no further news about it due to a news story that took place in the first days of August on the Spanish roads.
