Regarding Keiko, the animal that Paola Rojas referred to in her story, it was a orca that was established in the park and was one of its main attractions, until the animal died in 1995.
Little by little the park lost popularity, until which, three years later, in 1999, ended its history. The company Premiere Parks, owner of the parks Six Flags, announced that it had acquired the famous amusement park in Tlalpan, south of Mexico City.
A year later, in 2000, the venue changed its name to Six Flags. It underwent a major renovation, in which they had to invest around 40 million dollars, and it was reopened on April 14 of the same year.
The The place was huge, that’s why it was divided into different “towns”. There was the Mexican town, the French town, the cowboy town, the Swiss town, the Polynesian town and the children’s town. This made their themes, in each of the towns, different.
