Moments of terror were experienced by the students of the Colegio Porvenir School in Chiguayante -in the Bío Bío region– due to a shooting recorded this afternoon near the educational establishment.
The minors had to take shelter under the tables in the classrooms due to the risk of some crazy bullet.
In a conversation with Radio Bío Bío, director and one of the school’s supporters, Jessica Méndez, expressed concern about the acts of violence that have occurred in the sector and explained that the campus It has protocols before these situations.

“The children had to take shelter under the tables, activate a protocol. All the teachers and assistants went out to see each of the rooms so that no student left and to be able to protect them” ;, he explained.
As revealed by him since last week in the sector shots have been recorded. “We are concerned, unsure of what is happening and requesting the Police and PDI to come and take their tour to provide more protection and our students can return safely to their homes”.
Méndez explained that in this scenario, the campus has a protocol and that students know that when the bell rings three times it is because they must take shelter under their tables and stay away from windows. This until the arrival of police officers.
Neighbors revealed to Radio Bío Bío that this is the fourth episode of shooting in the sector.
After what happened, municipal staff arrived at the compound, where a meeting will be held to adopt security measures.
